What is an artifact?
An artifact is anything that helps you to better understand your subject. It could be a document, an interaction, a podcast- anything that helps you gain a clearer understanding.
The fact sheet helped me to better understand exactly what pediatric occupational therapy is. It gave good examples and it was a brief, but thorough explanation. It was slightly dense.

This article from kids health is also a description of occupational therapy. It was more user friendly. It had bulleted lists rather than lengthy paragraphs which made it quick and easy to understand.

I really enjoyed reading this blog because it gave me insight to what a therapist actually thinks. Most of the information around OT is very factual and dry, but this article was very personal. I appreciated this article cause it helped me prepare for what I will encounter and feel during the internship.

This is also an interview with an occupational therapist. This article focused more on what OT was rather than the therapist personal views and opinions. I do think it is useful for understanding OT, especially the second page of the article.

This last artifact is the Occupational Therapy code of ethics. It was actually the first artifact I found. I think it was important because I have to abide by the rules, but it was dense and tough to get through.
